GIVING THE BASICS HAS BEEN ASKED TO HELP THE SCHOOLS
After we received letters from the school districts telling us that children were trying to disappear at school because they were getting picked on or were being left out because they smelled, we got the wheels on the Giving the Basics bus moving! Kansas City, MO, Kansas City, KS, Center Schools and Shawnee Mission School districts, hoped we would to help change thousands of lives immediately, by supplying personal care hygiene products to their low income students. They wanted them to feel free to raise their hands proudly, hug their friends, and not feel humiliated or ashamed of they way they looked.
Can you imagine being afraid to join a group or to try to make friends because you knew you smelled? What is even worse, is that were told that some children think it is okay for people to be mean to them or leave them out because they smell bad or look dirty. We will keep you posted as the wheels on our human dignity bus go round and round. Get your group involved in helping us make it easier for children to learn and thrive, please contact us at www.GivingtheBasics.org and click the have a product drive bag. It is simple and fun!
